NBA rumors opens door to huge multi-player deal by Denver Nuggets or New York Knicks that includes 3-point ace

New NBA rumors may point to a potential multi-player trade opportunity for the Denver Nuggets or New York Knicks to fill several needs for the second half.

A few weeks ago, most NBA pundits expected this to be a relatively quiet trade deadline. However, over the last few days, we have seen a flurry of massive trade around the league. Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is now in Los Angeles. All-Star caliber guards De’Aaron Fox and Zach LaVine are on new teams. And Kyle Kuzma is going from a losing Wizards squad to a Finals contender in the Bucks.

Two teams that have been quiet thus far but linked to NBA trade rumors for weeks are the Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks. Neither club is expected to make a huge blockbuster deal. However, they could make some smaller moves to improve their depth for the second half and playoffs.

On Wednesday, The Denver Post reported the Nuggets are looking high and low for reasonable upgrades to their bench. Well, a separate rumor could point to a potential trade for them or the Knicks before Thursday’s 6 PM ET deadline.

Could the Denver Nuggets or New York Knicks land Kevin Huerter in a multi-player trade soon?

“Newly acquired Chicago Bulls players Zach Collins, Tre Jones, and Kevin Huerter are now listed as out (coach’s decision) for tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Chicago is exploring the possibility of rerouting those players via trade, league sources,” told Hoop Hype NBA insider Michael Scotto.

The trio of players were a part of the multi-team deal that moved both Fox and LaVine. The Denver Nuggets could certainly use more backup center, and scoring options off the bench over the final months of the season. The new Bulls would certainly be an interesting response to the Denver Post reports today.

Furthermore, the New York Knicks have been linked to trades for a center since the summer. Collins would be a solid and affordable addition. While they don’t need Jones, Huerter would be a great sharpshooter addition to the bench.
