Drake Maye announces the most important news of his life, leaving the internet in awe.

Drake Maye has a new head coach in New England, and now he has himself a fiancee as well.

In a post to Instagram on Wednesday, the Patriots quarterback Maye announced that he is engaged to longtime girlfriend Ann Hudson. Maye shared some pictures of his recent beach proposal to Hudson.

“Love doing life with you. Can’t wait to marry you!” he wrote in his caption.

Maye, 22, and Hudson, 21, have been dating since 2015 (when they were still in middle school). They both attended the University of North Carolina and have shared many other pictures together over the years.

The former No. 3 overall pick Maye finished his rookie year in New England with 2,276 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions after taking over as the starter in Week 6. Maye’s professional life could be looking a lot different under new Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel, and now he will be planning for married life on top of that too.
