New Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer is making quite the impression on his coaching staff.

It might only be the offseason, but new Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer appears to be already making the right kind of noise.
From selecting his staff, which included an “actual” coaching search, to now getting ready for the scouting combine, Schottenheimer has been hitting all the right notes.
With so many things needing to be straightened out for the Cowboys, Schottenheimer is moving forward in such a manner that is leaving his coaching staff impressed.

As Dallas gears up for the combine, offensive line coach Conor Riley was glowing in his words for Schottenheimer.
“The thing that you notice is the leadership skills he has,” Riley said. “He is not only a tremendous ball coach, but just the person that he is, he’s always giving tidbits of advice, how you can improve yourself, he’s giving feedback to you that is so greatly appreciated.
“How he’s leading this group right now, and obviously we haven’t seen anyone on the grass yet, but his reputation precedes him. I just can’t wait to get out on the grass with him, but it has just been a phenomenal experience and I really consider myself fortunate in making this jump to have a leader like Schotty in charge.”
Once again, it is a Dallas coach who is saying everything fans want to hear, and as things stand right now, it appears that good things are happening behind the scenes.
Of course, the true value of Schottenheimer and his coaching staff will be when real NFL bullets are flying, but right now, all we have to go on are words…and they’re good ones.
The winds of change have swept through The Star over the past month, and while there are many detractors to the move to make Schottenheimer head coach, it appears he’s steering this ship with authority, and when everyone is aligned as the Cowboys appear to be, good things happen.
And right now, Dallas is a franchise in desperate need of something good happening.
