The Golden State Warriors recently faced off against the Philadelphia 76ers in a thrilling game that saw Stephen Curry deliver an impressive performance.
Despite the Warriors’ 126-119 loss, Curry managed to score 29 points, dish out 13 assists, and even throw down his first dunk in six years. However, it wasn’t just Curry’s on-court performance that caught the attention of fans.
Before the game, Curry paid tribute to Philadelphia 76ers legend Allen Iverson by donning a custom A.I.-themed jacket.
The blue varsity jacket featured white sleeves, red accents, and the letter ‘A’ alongside Iverson’s nickname “The Answer” on the left breast.
The jacket also displayed Iverson’s NBA accolades and his iconic No. 3 stitched on the sleeves. This heartfelt gesture did not go unnoticed by Iverson, who took to Instagram to share his thoughts on Curry’s tribute.
Iverson gets emotional after Steph’s tribute
Iverson posted a clip of Curry walking through the player’s tunnel in the custom jacket, captioning it with a short but emotional message.
“No words can explain how I felt when I saw this,” Iverson shared on Instagram.

“He’s always been someone that shows so much love and gone out of his way to give me praise and admiration, the same way I had for watching him play,” Curry said after the game.
“I got to play with him a couple of times before he retired which is crazy to think back on those experiences. I didn’t get to see him tonight but being in Philly and all, the iconic career he had here, so showing some love back”.
Iverson, who played 14 seasons in the NBA and was known for his unique style and incredible ball-handling skills, has always been a trailblazer in the league.
His MVP-winning campaign in 2001 and his impact on the game have left a lasting legacy.
Curry’s tribute to Iverson serves as a reminder of the profound influence that past legends have on current stars and the enduring bond that connects generations of basketball players.
