BREAKING: The Patriots have signed C Garrett Bradbury to a 2yr deal worth up to $12M.

The Patriots are adding the former Minnesota Vikings starter to their offensive line.

Vikings release center Garrett Bradbury amid offensive line overhaul

Five days after releasing longtime starting center David Andrews, the New England Patriots have signed a potential replacement. Garrett Bradbury, who spent the first six years of his career with the Minnesota Vikings, is joining the club on a two-year contract.

According to a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the deal includes $3.8 million in guarantees and has a maximum value of $12 million.

Bradbury, 29, originally entered the NFL as the 18th overall selection in the 2019 draft. A Day 1 starter along the Vikings’ offensive line, the N.C. State product amassed over 6,000 career snaps at the center position and has started all 92 of his regular season and playoff games.

Despite being an experienced presence up front for Minnesota, the team decided to move on from Bradbury this offseason. Following the Vikings signing fellow center Ryan Kelly to a two-year free agency deal, the 6-foot-3, 300-pounder was made available for trade. No move transpired, leading to an official release being announced on Monday.

One day later, Bradbury has found a new home — adding another veteran to the Patriots’ interior offensive line in the aftermath of David Andrews’ aforementioned release.

The Patriots parted ways with Andrews last week after 10 seasons and 131 starts. The 31-year-old, who had suffered a season-ending shoulder injury last September, was released with a failed physical designation.
