BREAKING: Nuggets Make Nikola Jokic Announcement Ahead of Trail Blazers Game

The Denver Nuggets are on the road for a matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night as they look to turn things around.

Denver enters Friday’s contest having won just five of their last 10 games including a loss in their last game to the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday.

For the Trail Blazers, they will enter Friday’s game amid a three-game winning streak as they will look to pick up another much-needed victory to keep their playoff hopes alive.

With Portland playing well and Denver struggling as of late, it will be a tough matchup for the Nuggets.

To make matters worse for Denver, they have also already ruled out their superstar center and MVP frontrunner Nikola Jokic for Friday’s matchup.

Jokic has missed Denver’s last two games due to an elbow and ankle injury and he will continue to be sidelined on Friday as he has been listed as out due to an ankle injury.

This is a massive blow for the Nuggets as Jokic gives them a little bit of everything on the court every night and they will need others to step up with him once again out of the lineup.

Denver may also be without their star guard Jamal Murray once again on Friday as he has been listed as questionable due to a right ankle sprain.

Of course, Murray, like Jokic, has missed Denver’s last two games but head coach Michael Malone was hopeful that he would be able to suit up on Friday against Portland.

The Nuggets have also listed Aaron Gordon and Christian Braun as probable for Friday’s contest and they are expected to play barring a setback before tipoff.

Gordon will likely continue to start at center with Jokic out of the lineup and Peyton Watson and Russell Westbrook should also continue to see an increased role, especially if Murray is once again sidelined.

Fans can catch Friday’s matchup between the Nuggets and Trail Blazers at 10:00 p.m. EST.
