The Denver Nuggets have had a solid season thus far as they look as though they are going to be a threat once again in the Western Conference once the playoffs begin.
Despite this, Denver has hit a recent rough patch as they have lost six of their last 10 games, including two straight.
During their recent losing skid, the Nuggets have seen their star players be in and out of the lineup due to injuries including Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon.

Because of this, the Nuggets have fallen to fourth in the West standings but it is clear that they are trying to get their core healthy ahead of their playoff run.
They did so on Wednesday in their lost to the San Antonio Spurs as they decided to rest their entire starting lineup after their double overtime loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday.
Of course, one player that missed Wednesday’s game was Jokic, and he made sure to let DeAndre Jordan know in a hilarious way that he was going to miss the game after his record setting performance on Tuesday.
“He’s like, ‘Hey, I’m not playing tomorrow,” Jordan said Jokic told him after Tuesday’s performance. “My back hurts. You have to play.’ I’m like, ‘Alright, cool.”
Nikola Jokic told DeAndre Jordan he needed a break after his historic 60-point triple-double 😂

This is exactly what you would expect from Jokic and there was no doubt that he deserved a night off.
Jokic’s absence from Wednesday’s game was no surprise as the superstar big man was fresh off a game on Tuesday in which he played 53 minutes and put up historic numbers.
In Tuesday’s loss to the Timberwolves, Jokic scored a career-high 61 points to go along with 10 rebounds and 10 assists, marking the highest scoring triple-double in NBA history.

With Jokic resting against the Spurs, Jordan made his fifth start of the season and he produce well, ending the game with 10 points and 17 rebounds.
Denver will now look to turn things around on Friday as they travel to take on the Golden State Warriors with a well-rested lineup.
