Last summer, the basketball world witnessed historic accomplishments at the Paris Olympics when LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry teamed up to lead the United States to a gold medal.
Although months have passed since that memorable run, Netflix released “Court of Gold” on Feb. 18, offering an inside look at Team USA’s journey in Paris. During the series, Golden State Warriors head coach and U.S. coach Steve Kerr made a bold statement, naming Kevin Durant the greatest men’s Olympic player of all time.
“Kevin’s the greatest Men’s Olympic Player of All-Time,” Kerr said.
On Saturday, ahead of the Lakers’ matchup with the Denver Nuggets, LeBron James reposted Kerr’s quote and made his thoughts clear with a one-word reaction.

While LeBron James boasts three Olympic gold medals and was named the MVP of the 2024 tournament in Paris, Kevin Durant has been a cornerstone of Team USA basketball throughout his career, consistently representing his country on the international stage.

Durant has played for Team USA 12 times, competing in the Olympics in 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2024. He has also participated in several FIBA events. Durant is the first male Olympic athlete to win four gold medals in a team sport and holds the record as the U.S. Olympic all-time leading scorer with 518 points.
“We all come together as one on the other side of the world like this.” Durant said after winning gold in Paris. “It’s special tonight, man. Guarantee you, everybody here will never forget about this night.”
