BREAKING: Jerry Jones’ Dallas Cowboys Get ‘Lucky’ In New Mock Draft

One of the Dallas Cowboys’ biggest needs as things stand is a partner for CeeDee Lamb.

Having been a one-man band last season, once Lamb went down with an injury, there was precious little for defenses to worry about aside from the odd play by Jalen Tolbert.

But with nearly $40 million in cap space, some think the Cowboys could trade for a receiver prior to the NFL Draft, while still addressing other needs.

Keenan Allen? Stefon Diggs? Tyler Lockett?

However, if that doesn’t happen, picking at No. 12, Dallas will still have its pick of the board, and in Yahoo Sports’ latest mock, the franchise gets “lucky,” and Arizona stud  Tetairoa McMillan falls into Jerry Jones’ lap.

“Dallas is set at slot receiver with CeeDee Lamb, but they could use an upgrade on the outside,” Yahoo Sports writes. “Luckily, McMillan falls right into its lap to give Dallas what could be an explosive passing game with Dak Prescott returning from injury.”

Thought to be one of the best receivers in the draft, McMillan would come straight into the No. 2 role behind Lamb and give the Cowboys some much-needed juice and speed in the passing game.

Coming off a year that saw him post 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns from 84 receptions, McMillan’s draft stock has continued to rise.

Due to his size, McMillan is a matchup nightmare, and when we add that with his elite ball skills, the Cowboys will be getting a solid prospect who can terrorize defenses in open space with his yards after catch, playing a big role in his dominance last season.

Of course, there is every chance that “Tet” won’t be on the board at No. 12, but if by some miracle or “luck” he is, then the Cowboys won’t be able to turn the draft card in fast enough.
