BREAKING: Chiefs Rookie’s Mom Turning Heads at Super Bowl

After the Chiefs earned their way to Super Bowl LIX, Xavier Worthy celebrated on the field with his mother, Nicky Jones.

The Kansas City Chiefs are in line for a third straight Super Bowl win when they face the Philadelphia Eagles … and rookie Xavier Worthy is soaking it all in.

Oh, and his mom will be doing the same.

The University of Texas rookie is coming off an 85-yard game against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game and could play a key role on Sunday.

“He’s a poised kid, and he does it with a smile on his face every day,” coach Andy Reid. “He comes out and works hard, wants to get better, all the things that that you want from a player, he has. I would tell you he’s probably mature, at least in the football world, mature for his age and experience. He jumps in, he’s willing to listen which I think is important when the teammates are talking these guys that have a little experience are talking to him, he’s taking it all in …”

And his mom could not be more proud.

After the Chiefs earned their way to Super Bowl LIX, Worthy celebrated on the field with his mother, Nicky Jones. The family message involving them is still going viral … and that is justifiable, given her beautiful sentiment.

“Thank you for representing yourself, family, & city the way you did these past 3 yrs,” Nicky wrote to her son on social media. “No off the field issues. Played every game, even when injured. Persevered thru bad times & stayed humble during good times.

“Being your mom is one of my greatest joys in life! So thankful.”

Worthy has developed a connection with QB Patrick Mahomes, especially in the second half of the year, with Xavier taking over as the Chiefs’ No. 1 weapon at times.

Some of this was expected, as he was a first-round pick.

But for all the fine things Xavier has accomplished, now comes his big next-level – the Super Bowl.

And has been the case over the course his career, including dating back to when he was playing at Texas, Mom will be right there as part of the family fun.
