The hits keep on coming for Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
The three-time Super Bowl champion missed a chance at history on Sunday, as his Chiefs squad lost 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX to the Philadelphia Eagles. The loss prevented them from becoming the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls, and may have also damaged his chances at surpassing Tom Brady as the GOAT.
On top of his on-field struggles, Mahomes now has to deal with storylines about his family. Something that he isn’t a stranger to these days.
Barstool’s Dave Portnoy announced in an NSFW video that Mahomes’ father, Patrick Mahomes Sr., would be partaking in the company’s “Rough N’ Rowdy” boxing event on April 19 against fellow former MLB pitcher John Rocker.
Portnoy’s announcement elicited plenty of responses on X from fans, with many saying they are embarrassed for the Chiefs quarterback.
“Pat Mohomes the chiefs qb has everything and I somehow feel sorry for him. You can’t choose your family,” wrote one fan.
“Hits just keep on coming for Patrick. So embarrassing,” added another.
“The amount of nonsense Pat Mahomes has had to deal with from his family is staggering,” commented one user.
“Patrick Mahomes’ family simply won’t be normal,” said one user.
“Pat Mahomes Sr, your son is worth over $100M, you don’t need to do stuff like this lol,” said another.

The announcement comes just days after Rocker and Mahomes Sr. were recorded getting into a shouting match on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Although the two didn’t throw any punches, they were separated by a couple of bystanders who attempted to de-escalate the shouting match.
After Rocker took an NSFW jab at the elder Mahomes on social media, calling him a “loser,” Mahomes made it clear that this beef may go back over two decades with his response.
“You really haven’t changed one bit in the last 25 years,” wrote Mahomes. “Keep my name out your loud mouth.”
It’s unclear what led to the altercation, but clearly, Rocker, who is 50 years old, and Mahomes Sr., who is 54, have something to settle in the ring.
