BREAKING: Tom Brady “Dives” Into English Football: The “Miracle” Strategy Helping Birmingham Soar Out of League One!

Birmingham City are flying high in League One this season, likely to the delight of minority owner Tom Brady.

Their most recent outing in the third tier saw the Sky Blues see off Stevenage by two goals to one.

In turn, after Wrexham and Wycombe Wanderers both dropped points in their most recent League One fixtures, Birmingham City have opened up a 14-point gap between themselves and third place, meaning promotion to the Championship is now all but guaranteed.

It has been a prolific season for the Midlands outfit, which has included Birmingham breaking a Plymouth Argyle record.

They have 11 games left to play out in 2024/25, but barring a major collapse, there is no chance they will be caught by Phil Parkinson’s Wrexham.

Position Team Played W D L For Against GD Points
1 Birmingham City 35 25 7 2 58 23 35 82
2 Wycombe Wanderers 35 19 11 5 61 33 28 68
3 Wrexham 36 20 8 8 50 30 20 68

Given how dominant they have been in 2024/25, it’s easy to forget that less than a year ago, Birmingham experienced one of the saddest days in the club’s history.

Tom Brady promise to Birmingham City fans after historic relegation

The 2023/24 season saw Birmingham languishing at the bottom end of the Championship in a very tight relegation battle.

Huddersfield Town and Rotherham United’s fate was confirmed before the final gameweek, but Tom Brady’s club still had a chance to avoid the drop on the final day.

Birmingham did their best, securing a 1-0 victory over Norwich City on May 4th, 2024, but it was not enough to overtake Plymouth, who managed to secure their Championship status for another season by just one point.

Following their first-ever relegation to League One since it was rebranded in the early 2000s, Brady took to X/Twitter to pen a touching message to supporters.

The former NFL star wrote: “Thank you for your support in a tough first year Bluenoses. We have a long way to go but it’s because of all of you that we’ll achieve great things in the future.”

Brady’s promise that the team would achieve great things in the future could not have been more true.

As already highlighted, they have wiped the floor with the rest of League One and will almost definitely go up as champions.

To add to that, Birmingham are set to meet Peterborough United at Wembley Stadium in the EFL Trophy final on April 13th where they are favourites to win their first piece of silverware since their League Cup triumph in 2011.

How Tom Brady is helping Birmingham City

While he’s not involved on a day-to-day basis at Birmingham, Brady has earned credit for one thing he implanted at St Andrew’s.

Speaking last month, as per the Birmingham Mail, manager Chris Davies spoke highly of Brady in his TBRx ‘body coaches’ for the role they play in helping stars recover and avoid injury.

He said: “We’ve got a very strong recovery, physical, medical department anyway but there’s obviously a lot of ideas we have implemented here around the TBRx, Tom Brady method as well. We’ve got some people from America supporting our departments with that.

“For someone like Ethan, recovering from games is almost as important as training for games. He’s a finely tuned athlete, a fast-paced player, so we’ve looked after his body well and he’s looked after his diet.

“All those things added in the pot would probably make it more possible to stay fit and that’s why he’s managed to do it.”
