The Denver Nuggets are set to host the Los Angeles Lakers as Nikola Jokic will be able to square off against his good friend Luka Doncic once again.
That is if there is no setbacks and Doncic is 100% good to go.
The Lakers just finished a road matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks, suffering a 126-106 loss — their third defeat in a row.
Doncic was superb, though, scoring 45 points and adding 11 rebounds while shooting 14-of-27 from the field and nailing seven 3-pointers.
The Slovenian’s brilliance wasn’t enough, however, as the LeBron James-less Lakers have been struggling.
Denver gets to host the Lakers fresh off three-straight losses on the second night of a back-to-back.
The Nuggets, on the other hand, have had a day of rest to digest their recent 20-point loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
One night removed from playing 36 minutes and putting the team on his back, despite a loss, will Doncic play against Jokic and the Nuggets?

Doncic delivers two-word response about playing against Nuggets
Doncic, again, was superb against the Bucks. With key players still in Los Angeles, the Lakers have a very thin chance to beat the Nuggets without the superstar guard.
Will he play? Doncic delivered a simple response regarding his playing status after the game.
“We’ll see,” Doncic told reporters after the loss.

As mentioned, Jokic and Doncic are great friends. They are also two of the most remarkable players in the NBA. The two squaring off would provide a high-level matchup, especially when considering how much they mean to their respective squads.
Given the Lakers’ injuries, the Nuggets open up as a 14.5-point favorite.
Jokic and company should be able to take down a Lakers squad that will be shorthanded, even if Doncic is able to go.
The season series is tied 1-1 between the two squads, and they will wrap up their next two games against one another within the next week.
