BREAKING: Warriors’ Stephen Curry Makes NBA History in Nets Game

The Golden State Warriors entered Thursday night’s matchup with the Brooklyn Nets trying to push their winning streak to three games and they were able to do just that.

Golden State got off to a terrible start in Thursday’s game, trailing by as much as 22 points in the first quarter. The Warriors then turned things around, completing the comeback and grabbing a 121-119 victory.

This victory now marks Golden States third consecutive win and their eighth win in their last 10 games as their hot streak has continued.

Stephen Curry led the way for the Warriors against the Nets, recording 40 points on 12-20 shooting from the field and 7-13 shooting from three-point range.

This was another incredible performance by Curry who has been on fire recently, and he also added his name to the NBA record books once again.

With Curry scoring 40 points in Thursday’s game, he now is 10th all-time in NBA history in 40-point games with 70. His 70 40-point games are also the second most by a point guard in NBA history.

Of course, Oscar Robertson has the most 40-point games by a point guard in NBA history with 77 and if Curry is able to keep playing how he has, he may soon pass Robertson’s total.

Curry also sits just one 40-point game shy from tying his former teammate Kevin Durant for ninth on the all-time list before he tries to track down Robertson for eighth on the list.

This is just another incredible record for Curry, who has grown accustomed to setting NBA records throughout his legendary career.

Curry and the Warriors will now look to extend their winning streak to four games on Saturday against the Detroit Pistons, and Curry can also tie Durant for ninth on the all-time list of 40-point games if he is able to do so on Saturday.
